2025 Dog Licenses on Sale December 1, 2024

READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE ORDERING.

All dogs three months or older must be licensed by January 1 of each year. Violators can be cited with a maximum fine of $500 per violation plus court costs.

Please keep your license receipt for your records

Duplicate licenses are available at the Beaver County Treasurer's Office for $1.70.

Online Dog Licensing Service
  • Purchases made online are payable using American Express, Discover, Mastercard and Visa credit cards.

  • Items purchased online are subject to a per item convenience fee, indicated as 'Online Fee'.

  • Licenses are sent through the postal mail. Please allow up to 10 business days for processing and delivery.

  • All registrations are subject to review. Knowingly providing false or misleading information can result in penalty, fine or prosecution under the law.

Renew a license
  1. Click RENEW LICENSE and Login using your Account or License information.

  2. You will be asked for either the Renewal ID and Online Code from the renewal reminder you received in the mail, or last year's license number.

  3. If you do not know that information, there is a link provided to Look for your License Number.

  4. To purchase additional new licenses, return to this page, select the new items and Add to Cart.

  5. When you have all the items you need, click 'Check Out' from within the shopping cart to complete the process.

First time to purchase a license
  1. Select the appropriate license item from menu on the right and ADD TO CART.

  2. To purchase other items, return to this page and select them.

  3. When you have all the items you need, click CHECK OUT from within the shopping cart to complete the process.

  4. You should select NEW USER and SUBMIT. You will be prompted to complete your owner information to complete the purchase.

Bureau of Dog Law Enforcement
  • Pennsylvania's Bureau of Dog Law Enforcement is responsible for law enforcement in regard to dog licenses and other Pennsylvania state laws regarding dogs.

  • All dogs must be under control and are not permitted to run at-large.

  • Complaints may be reported to the local State Dog Warden Christopher McKeown, state dog warden, at 724-480-5161, or you may complete the following Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture Bureau of Dog Law Complaint form.
